Autumn brings the most vibrant, warm, faded colours, giving you a sense that something is ending but, at the same time, a feeling of comfort and a call for hibernation. Autumn leaves on a canvas.
One of my favourite sonnets by Shakespeare encapsulates this feeling beautifully, a sense of melancholy but also a reminder to live in every moment.
Sonnet 73: That time of year thou mayst in me behold
